World's Ugliest Dog

It's official. Pabst is the world's ugliest dog. And it looks like this boxer-mix deserved it. His prominent under-bite makes him an ugly runaway winner.

Pabst won the annual contest Friday at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petuluma, Calif., which is in the northern part of the state.

Some hailed it an upset in topping former champion Rascal, a Chinese Crested. Pabst's owner took home $1,600 in prize money, pet supplies and a modeling contract with House of Dog.

Is there a World's Dumbest Dog contest anywhere? If so, I'd like to humbly enter my dog Ranger, a mix of Australian Shepherd and Who Knows What.

The dog's water pan is constantly filled with dirt and is a murky brown. The reason is he always puts his front paws into the pan when he drinks. I explain to him this is wrong. I slowly and carefully show him to keep his paws OUTSIDE the pan to keep his water clean. But no.

He just looks at me with that glazed look and tongue hanging out and goes about doing what he always does. Probably the fact he's named after the Texas Rangers doesn't help.
