And boom goes the dynamite!

Sue me, but I always love to watch a good implosion. There's something about watching the coordination, the engineering, the timed neatness of some structure that falls to rubble in seconds that that's quite, well, awe-inspiring.

Months, sometimes years to build, and seconds to destroy.

Texas Stadium, one of the state's sports icons, will be imploded on April 11. But, of course, it's not just any old implosion for what was the home of the Dallas Cowboys for 37 years.

Believe it or not, there's a sponsor for this -- Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. If you know the connection between slices of cheese and dynamite, let me know. But they're paying for the publicity. And the company has also announced a national essay contest for children ages 9-12 to tell a story about the positive impact they've made to make their community better.

Hopefully, it wasn't blowing anything up.

The winner gets to push the button and set in motion the implosion rigged by the Jacobs Engineering Group.

I wonder when the dust settles how many will be hunting for for souvenir scraps of steel and concrete?

My best educated guess would be that the person who cuts the cheese would ignite the implosion?

Good Ol' Jerry. Never one to pass up a chance for a buck.
