Say what?

Ever read something and do one of those actual double-takes? Ever say, did I just read that right? Here's one:

"Elton John sings at Rush Limbaugh's wedding.''

What?

Might as well have read: "Lady Gaga sings at Mennnonite wedding."

Now I can believe the right-wing conservative radio talk show host is now on his fourth wife (I believe the 59-year-old Limbaught can catch fellow talk show host Larry King's seven wives), but what's hard to believe is the left-leaning AIDS activist gay rock singing icon played at the wedding.

Karl Rove was there, jetting to Palm Beach after a book signing in Amarillo. So too were Sean Hannity, James Carville, Mary Matalin, Rudy Giuliani, and Clarence Thomas, among others.

And Keith Olbermann and Leonard Pitts were in the wedding party (Not really).

Like myself, Limbaugh must be a Sir Elton fan. Unlike myself, he can afford the $1 million price tag that Elton supposedly charges for a private concert, according to People Magazine. Then again, last year, Reuters reported that Elton charged more than $2 million for private performances, although all earnings go to his charity, the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Now, Toby Keith, I could see that. But Elton John. That one was worth a double-take.

Does that mean Limbaugh is a closet ____? Take your choice of nouns.
