Several e-mailers have inquired about a way to donate money to David and Bonnie Williams, the two Amarillo High teachers, who are in Houston as their infant daughter Emery undergoes treatment for a cancerous tumor. The column ran in Sunday's Globe-News.
The reason it wasn't in the original column is the Williams family is sensitive to it in light of all the support they've received, particularly at Amarillo High. They would have preferred it not be in the column.
However, they said nothing about a blog. If you would like to contribute to a fund set up to help Emery Jane Williams, contact any branch of Happy State bank, say you want to donate to the Emery Williams fund and they will hook you up. It will be money well-spent.
