Alice Neal, the oldest living resident at The Continental, turns 100 later this month. The occasion was celebrated this afternoon in the parlor of the Continental, 1300 S. Jackson.
Not only is Neal the oldest resident there, but she has lived there since the day it opened. She walks more than a mile a day.
Alice has lost two husbands and both children, but her granddaughter, two great-grandaughters and her great-great granddaughter are scheduled to be there for the occasion. Five generations all told.
Happy birthday, Alice.
